Children and Young People

Support is available in Havering for children, young people and those supporting them (e.g. parents/carers and professionals). The THRIVE framework is an integrated, person centred and needs led approach to delivering mental health services. This framework has been used to present the support available

It conceptualises need in five categories:

  • Thriving
  • Getting Advice and Signposting
  • Getting Help
  • Getting More Help
  • Getting Risk Support

Emphasis is placed on prevention and also the promotion of mental health and wellbeing across the whole population.

The Framework is needs-led. This means that mental health needs are defined by children, young people and families alongside professionals through shared decision-making. Needs are not based on severity, diagnosis or health care pathways. Children and young people should be supported with accessing services to meet their mental health needs

URGENT MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORT
