Care Bear Daycare: Stacey Samms

Hi, my name is Stacey and I have been an Ofsted registered Childminder in Upminster for the past 26-years.

I live on the Springfield estate and my setting comprises of a playroom full of resources, a kitchen where we enjoy meal times and craft activities, plus a large child-friendly garden.

I have been awarded "Outstanding in all areas" in my 3 most recent Osted inspections (April 2015, November 2019 and September 2025).

I welcome all children into my home, whatever their individual needs and aim to provide each child with a warm, caring, stimulating environment where they feel happy, safe and can flourish. I aim to educate children holistically through a mix of child-initiated and adult-led activities. I incorporate a range of fun educational topics which cover themes and celebrations from all over the world.

I take the children on outings each day. Places we frequently visit include local toddler groups, Upminster library, local parks, Clock-house Gardens, Thorndon Woods (Gruffalo Trail), Weald Country Park (Stickman Trail), Nature reserves, Garden Centres etc which offer opportunities for the children to explore the outside world and socialise with other children, which supports their social and emotional development as well as their language and communication skills.

I work in close partnership with parents and share information about their child's learning and development and information about their child's day in the form of a digital diary.

I hold some lovely references from families I have cared for over the years and am very happy to share these with prospective parents.

I accept childcare vouchers from a range of companies, as well as the government's tax-free childcare scheme. I also offer up to 30-hours free childcare to eligible families.
