Partially Sighted Society Havering
The Partially Sighted Society Havering has been representing the visually impaired community within the Havering area since 1977. It has grown from a very small group to currently two groups meeting at Yew Tree Resource Centre in Romford.
Our monthly social evenings include entertainment such as live music, speakers, quizzes and raffles. We also arrange trips to the Queen's Theatre and to places of interest. We also arrange summer barbeque.
We run a Drop-In Group every Tuesday afternoon at Yew Tree Resource Centre, which provides advice, information, social interaction, and support for individuals with visual impairment, their friends, and carers.
The Drop-In Group also provides opportunities to learn about the latest equipment for independent living, which is displayed and demonstrated upon request in the Visually Impaired Demonstration Room.

Bus numbers 86, 128, 165, 193 and 496 to Mawney Road Bus stop “B”. Go under the subway and you will find us on the opposite side of the road.
Bus 252 to Mawney Road bus stop “A”. As you get off the bus walk back towards the roundabout. Take the first right into Yew Tree Gardens. The entrance to Yew Tree Resource Centre will be the first door on the right.
