As part of our Partnerships for Inclusion of Neurodiversity in Schools (PINS) project, Havering SEND Family Voice is excited to offer a series of workshops for parents and carers of primary-aged children with neurodivergent conditions. These sessions give you a chance to meet our specialist advisor, who will share practical tips, helpful resources, and expert advice to support your child’s growth. These workshops are designed to be welcoming and supportive, so families can connect, share experiences, and find solutions together. We encourage open conversation and shared learning, helping everyone feel more confident in supporting their child's unique needs.

Description

We’d love to welcome you to our online Emotion Coaching workshop—a friendly and supportive space designed especially for parent carers who want to help their kids grow emotionally strong and resilient. Whether you’re new to these ideas or looking to build on what you already know, you’ll find practical tips, real-life examples, and encouragement from others on a similar journey.

Emotion Coaching is all about creating nurturing, emotionally supportive relationships that help children flourish. When kids feel understood and cared for, they’re better equipped to handle life’s ups and downs, and their confidence and resilience naturally blossom.

Emotion Coaching turns big feelings and challenging behaviours into valuable learning moments. By connecting with your child through empathy and understanding, you can help them recognise and manage their emotions in positive ways. When you acknowledge how your child is feeling, it fosters a sense of safety and connection—helping them to calm down both in body and mind.

This workshop will be delivered in two parts.
