Cherubs Preschool Hornchurch Methodist Church

Cherubs Preschool follow the Early Years Foundation Stage to plan and provide a range of play activities which help all children in our care to develop and progress towards the 7 Areas of Learning.

Our routines are arranged so that children can choose from a range of activities which challenges them and builds up their confidence to work through a task to its completion. They are able to freely choose from activities and take part in adult lead, small and large group activities which introduce them to new experiences and help them gain skills, working alone and in co-operation with others.

Cherubs Preschool believe that outdoor activities contribute not only to children’s health but also to their physical development and their knowledge of the world around them.

Cherubs Preschool appreciate parents and carers are the first and most important educators of their children. We see ourselves as partners with parents in providing care and education for their child and actively encourage sharing information with parents and carers.

Children may generally start our preschool from the age of 2 years of age, spaces allowing, until the time that they enter into full-time education. Our main intake is in September each year and we have a waiting list. We accept children regardless of their abilities or difficulties and we try our best to tailor our provision to meet every child’s individual needs.
