Valerie Gaynor

Hi I am Valerie (MonValeta’s Childcare).  I have vacancies for private, non-funded or funded children of all ages 0-11 yrs. 

I have worked for 22 years as a childminder/nanny and since that time my highest achievements from Ofsted has been Outstanding 2018 for my hardwork in caring for children.  Something I am proud of! 

Here is a bit about me:  I am calm, loving and very approachable, able to listen, gentle, and also feel I am patient and understanding, but firm in my approach with children and attentive to each child's needs. I not only support the children but also offer support to parents working in partnership.  Nurturing: I will take time to plan and observe children so they can be stimulated and be able to reach their full potential in their development skills by following the EYFS development matters and knowing about British values. 

Parents are very happy with the care I give their children and how they have developed immensely while in my care.  Think of it as like a rack sack half full and when they leave my setting it should be busting with knowledge, information and life skills for them to move forward.  I have also worked and have qualifications in looking after children with special educational needs (SEND).

Places of interest: I love being outdoors with children and encourage them to explore nature and the outdoors by doing lots of activities with them  i.e. forestry, messy play, visiting parks, community drop-ins, libraries, going to my allotment and exploring plants and wildlife. I also do a lot of indoor activities such as cooking/baking healthy options and learning through music and dance.  I allow children to express themselves through learning through dance and movement.  I have a guitar and other musical instruments which the children love to use and also have a vast range of toys for them to choose from.
