Care Trade - Supporting and preparing autistic people for employment

The Autism Project is now offering three pathway options to support learners to develop their skills for work, their confidence, and their independence.
Learners will be assessed before joining the project as the admissions process. A pathway will be chosen for them based on their needs, aspirations, and EHCP outcomes. All our pathways support and prepare learners to identify their aspirations and develop transferrable skills for their futures. After each year, learners will be reassessed to ensure the next pathway is right for them.
Our curriculum offer varies on each pathway but is holistic and includes opportunities for learners to attend work experience placements in real working environments, travel training sessions, Speech & Language Therapy (SaLT- if required on EHCP), enrichment and social events, and Functional Skills Maths and English (City & Guilds, up to Level 2). Learners have a job coach and person-centred planning is used to support learners to work towards their individual goals and outcomes.
