Working Families is the UK’s national charity for working parents and carers. We provide free legal advice for parents and carers to understand and feel able to use their employment rights, and to make sure they’re receiving the benefits they’re entitled to, so they can thrive in the workplace.  

On our website you can find information and guidance on a range of workplace issues and in-work benefits, including resources such as template letters: 

Workplace issues 

• Flexible Working, including what to do if a request is refused 

• Pregnancy and maternity rights, including Health and Safety  

• Discrimination as a parent/carer  

• Family leave and pay (Maternity, Adoption, paternity, shared Parental Leave, Neonatal, Bereavement)  

• Time off for parents and carers, for example, dependants, parental leave and carers leave

If you can’t find the answer on our website, our free helpline is run by a team of solicitors and advisers who can offer advice on more complicated issues.
