The Wendy House Day Nursery
We are proud and privileged to have been providing quality childcare for local families in Hornchurch, for over 30 years. Our large, converted house offers a warm, unique ‘home from home’ setting for 47 children, within small age-based nursery groups from babies to pre-school. We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage national curriculum with our daily range of activities structured to each child’s development stage and particular interests. Our qualified staff have many years of experience working with and supporting children and parents in early years, including special educational needs and disabilities
We offer funded nursery places for children 9 months plus and encourage parents to come for a visit and discuss their child’s nursery needs with us.

- Other notes
We offer a wide range of resources to cater for all age groups and abilities, both within the nursery and in our large outdoor (partially covered) garden. We believe in full inclusivity with all programs, events and extra activities incorporated in our daily routine at no extra charge and we encourage every child to participate in these. This extends to family members for certain events and celebrations.
All parents have free access to the 'Famly' app which is a secure, all in one digital platform and app, designed for early years settings. It is a valuable two-way communication channel for direct messaging between parents and staff, along with enabling parents to manage and share their child’s daily activities.
