The Department for Education Schools White Paper

The Department for Education has released a new Schools White Paper called “Every Child Achieving and Thriving.” This is an important document that explains possible changes to schools and SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) support in England. The government is asking for feedback from parents and carers like you. You have until 18 May 2026 to share your thoughts and experiences. This is a great chance to help shape the future of education and make sure children with SEND get the support they need. Your voice matters—please take part in the consultation and share what matters most to you and your child.

As a Havering SEND parent carer, there are five simple ways you can get involved and make sure your voice is heard. Your experiences and opinions are really important. By taking part, you can help improve support for children with SEND in our community.
