Health Education training and support for Havering Schools

This resource provides an overview of training and services available in Havering to support the delivery of Health Education, and assist schools in taking a whole school approach towards supporting children and young people’s health and wellbeing. A separate resource for mental health and emotional wellbeing is available here

 The Health Education resource covers:

  • Medical/ Health Conditions
  • Healthy Eating, Physical Activity, Healthy Weight and Dental Health,
  • Healthy Relationships, including RSE and protecting against exploitation and youth violence
  • Drugs, Alcohol, and Tobacco
  • Overall Health and Wellbeing

The spreadsheet (in the download section on this page) will be updated at the end of each term, in preparation for the following term.  The training and support offered is delivered by many different providers, and funding comes from multiple sources and changes frequently.  As such, individual contacts provided within the resource will be able to provide the most up-to-date information on their own training, but we hope you find this overview useful.

We welcome input from school staff to help keep the resource useful and relevant.  If you’d like to provide feedback, make suggestions for interventions that we can add to the resource or highlight gaps in provision, please email healthyschools@havering.gov.uk
