Meridian is a large community-based home providing short break care and support for up to five young people with autism spectrum conditions (ASC) at any one time. Accredited by the National Autistic Society, Meridian provides a secure, well-equipped outdoor play area, sensory/low stimulus rooms, very pleasant communal living and a kitchen area where young people are encouraged to develop their life skills.

Meridian offers:

Together Trust has been operating for over 140 years. With experience, comes excellence. By providing specialist education, care and community services to children, young people and adults, the Together Trust aims to do everything in its power to make that happen.

At Meridian, we provide short breaks for young people with autism and associated behaviours which at times might be challenging.

Young people usually stay for a number of nights in order to support families in caring for their child. We work closely with families in order to provide a consistent approach for young people.

Meridian is supported by other Together Trust services including consultancy from clinical psychologists and play therapists. Our experienced and highly specialist teams work closely with young people, parents, carers and other professionals. Close liaison takes place with education and multidisciplinary teams.
