Seven Limes Pottery: Pottery Classes

Seven Limes Pottery is Manchester's first pottery teaching studio open to the general public, offering pottery classes and workshops in pottery wheel throwing, hand-building, glazing, slip painting and many other techniques.
Running since 1999, we are your trusted destination for pottery classes in Manchester that cater to all skill levels, from enthusiastic beginners to aspiring professional potters. Conveniently located just a stone's throw from the city centre; 10 minutes walk from Piccadilly station; our fun and friendly pottery classes offer a perfect blend of hands-on learning, craft, design and artistic exploration.
Experience the joy of crafting and designing your very own ceramic masterpieces under the guidance of our expert artistic instructors. Our artists have written taught pottery programs for schools and colleges, and our comprehensive learning program is suited for both casual and serious learners, that easily fits around any jobs. Our classes provide not only a supportive space for learning a new skill, but also a space that's easy to make new friends and become part of a friendly community, where you can relax and be yourself.
Forget pottery painting or paint-a-pot, you'll craft, design, sculpt and throw your own pottery tableware from scratch, turning messy mud into ceramic art objects of your own creation. Get your hands stuck in by spinning clay on a throwing wheel, constructing slabs together, create large jars, pinch sculptural art objects, paint your pots by applying slip or glaze, and draw designs by scratching with the sgraffito method, among many other creative and fun to learn techniques that this activity will teach you.
If you're not sure it's for you, try out our taster class, which is also great to come on your own, as a group or for a couples date, and if you want to dive right in we offer 6 week beginners courses, and 2-day throwing workshops. You can book a class at Seven Limes Pottery - Pottery courses and workshops.
We also run private classes for groups that are perfect for a creative team building activity, birthday or hen do. Contact us to arrange a date: Contact Seven Limes Pottery
