Hough End Leisure Centre
Hough End Leisure Centre has a 25m six lane swimming pool and a learner pool, 90 station gym, two squash courts, a sauna and steam room and a studio. On Friday 10th May our new two story extension opened which sees an extension to our gym, providing a new programmable space. There's brand new equipment throughout with over 100 stations of Technogym kit. You'll find a new multi-functional room which can be split into two and accommodate community sessions and meetings and provides an additional space for our fitness class programme.
We also have a bar and a fantastic outdoor balcony area making it the perfect place for special occasions and events. Our 15 grass pitches and 2 artificial grass pitches are served by new dedicated changing facilities. Each week we teach over 1000 children to swim on our Swim School Programme. With a brand new Cafe at the centre it's the perfect place to wait while lessons are on! This facility is part of a unique collection of community and elite facilities governed by MCRactive, a not for profit organisation established and overseen by Manchester City Council. It is operated by Better under the MCRactive brand.
