Hellenic School of Manchester

Hellenic School Logo

Since its establishment in 1955, the Hellenic School of Manchester has been the official Greek supplementary school recognised by both the Ministry of Education of Greece and the Ministry of Education and Culture of Cyprus.

Our school is also a member of the Central Educational Council of Greece of the Holy Archdiocese of Thyateira and Great Britain (K.E.S.) and the Cyprus Educational Mission (K.E.A.). In addition, our school became an examination centre for the Greek language certification in 2018.

Here at the Hellenic School we value the importance of teaching and promoting the Greek language and culture in our children. Our school welcomes children who have Greek as their first or second language and aims to help them develop their understanding.

Our teachers are highly skilled, fully qualified and continuously work to high standards. They plan and organise fun, exciting and engaging activities which promote effective learning.

The school delivers in person lessons on Tuesdays at Chorlton High School, Saturdays at Manchester’s Greek Orthodox Church and online.
