Clayton Family Hub

Family Hubs bring together services for families with children of all ages (0-19) or up to 25 with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). At the core of the offer is an enhanced Start for Life offer which provides support to parents and carers from a child’s conception until their second birthday.
Family Hubs are important because all families need a bit of help at times. In Manchester the family hubs will make it easier for parents to get support and ensure better outcomes for them and their children. Family hubs will act as one-stop-shops where families can access important services, making it easier for families to get the help they need, when they need it and improving the support on offer.
Here are some of the services offered at the Family Hub. If there is something which is not listed, it is likely it is provided elsewhere in the local area. Please contact your local hub for further information and a member of staff will help you access this:

- Birth registration
- Debt and welfare advice
- Midwifery and maternity services
- Support getting online
- Speech and Language Therapy
- Early Help support
- Parenting support
- English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) courses
- Manchester Adult Education courses
- Youth and play activities
- Domestic abuse support
- Youth Justice services
- Manchester Health Visting Service
- Infant feeding and breastfeeding support
- Career Connect offer support to 16–18-year-olds (25 if they have an EHCP or if they are a care leaver) who are not in employment, education or training
- Help with food
- Support to those at risk of homelessness
- The Manchester Local Offer for people aged 0-25 with Special Educational Needs or Disabilities (SEND) as well as other organisations that support people with SEND
- Support for mental health and wellbeing through Be Well (for young people and adults)
- Support with nutrition and weight management through Morelife Junior Physical Activity Referral Service
- Support for people looking to make positive changes to their lifestyle, relating to smoking, drug or alcohol use
- Oral health
- The Children and Parents Service offer support for parents during pregnancy and for parents of children under 5 years
- Home-Start Manchester offer help in your home from another local parent (for families with at least one child under the age of 5)
- Dad Matters helps dads whose partners are pregnant or who have a baby under 2
- Other support offered through various voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations
