Personal Alarms: Taking Care

Taking Care Logo

Taking Care support the elderly to live independently at home with personal alarms and telecare products providing 24/7 support.

Personal alarms connect the alarm holder to the 24 hour response centre at the press of a button should they suffer a fall or medical emergency. The response centre will contact the alarm holder using the alarm's loudspeaker. If further assistance is required, the response centre will contact the emergency services or keyholders.

Customers in Manchester can choose to have the personal alarm installed on their behalf by a Taking Care advisor, who will also demonstrate how to use the service.

Customers can enhance their personal alarm service by adding fall detectors, GPS personal alarms, and dementia trackers. Customer can choose from wearable options to suit their preferences, including alarm pendants and wrist worn devices. For customers needing additional support, smart home monitoring packages are also available.
