Help Beat Respiratory Disease Logo

Do you have COPD Asthma, Bronchiectasis, Emphysema?

Why not help improve care and treatment through research with Help BEAT Respiratory Disease?

Help BEAT Respiratory Disease is a campaign to encourage people with Respiratory Disease to get involved in research. Better care and treatments are only possible through research. Together we could help reduce the impact of F on the population.

Help BEAT Respiratory Disease is an initiative supported by the CRN Greater Manchester

Joining Research for the Future and the Help BEAT Respiratory Disease campaign is free. When you sign up, we will ask you for some information such as your contact details, what Respiratory conditions you have (e.g. COPD, asthma, bronchiectasis, emphysema).

We will explain the different types of research available and you can tell us which of these you are interested in. We will use this information to tell you about research studies going on in your area.

It is always your decision whether to take part in any research we tell you about. Your participation is completely voluntary and you can withdraw from a study or from Help BEAT Respiratory Disease at any time without it affecting your medical care.

We take data protection very seriously. All our records are kept in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. Your information is stored on our secure NHS database and access to it is strictly limited. We will never pass any of your information to anyone else.

Research for the Future is an NHS supported campaign that helps people find out about and take part in health and care research. Getting involved in research means you are helping to discover new ways to prevent, diagnose and manage illnesses.

Everyone is welcome to register with Research for the Future, whether you have a health condition or not. The only requirement is that you must live in England and be 18 years or over. Registering means we will inform you about research opportunities you may wish to take part in.

We offer opportunities to get involved in research across all health conditions as well for healthy volunteers.
