- Other notes
The Adventure Service is a specialist outdoor learning organisation supporting adults with additional support needs to achieve their potential through adventure.
We use the outdoors as a space for growth, helping people build independence, confidence and social connections through real experiences in nature.
Every activity, whether it’s a day out walking or a full weekend away, is designed to develop skills, encourage teamwork and give Adventurers a sense of achievement.
Founded in 2011, we’ve grown from a small idea to a multi centre service working across Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and the Peak District.
Our services include structured day programmes and short break weekends, all led by experienced staff who understand how to support each individual at their own pace.
Our approach is person centred and inclusive, focusing on what people can do, not what they can’t.
We work closely with families and social workers to make sure every Adventurer is supported, safe and encouraged to thrive.
At its heart, The Adventure Service exists to give people opportunities to be outdoors, to challenge themselves and to discover what they’re capable of.
