Emmaus Salford

Emmaus Salford Logo

Emmaus Salford offers a range of services that support people, communities and the environment.

At the heart of Emmaus Salford is our core service – providing a home, work and individual support to formerly homeless people. The people we support, known as companions, help out in our social enterprises – gaining the skills, experience and confidence needed to progress.

Much of our social enterprise activity is focussed on saving good quality items from going to waste but we deliver so much more. Our three Salford charity shops sell a wide range of donated furniture, household items, electrical items, clothes, books, entertainment and bric-a-brac. Connected to our charity shops we offer a house clearance service and free furniture collection service.

Here at Emmaus Salford we also run Lucie’s Pantry social supermarket and a School Uniform Hub. These two additional solidarity services are run by companions and benefit Salford residents who face financial hardship and may be at risk of homelessness themselves.

We have also recently opened The People’s Pods and this solidarity service, run in partnership with Salford City Council, supports people who are street homeless.
