Young Carer Support at Manchester Enterprise Academy

For students attending our school:

This academic year we are hoping to offer a drop-in sessions

We are continually working to identify any young carers and support those we are aware of 

All year groups have had a form time session on what it means to be a young carer and who they can talk to in school 

We have a display in the centre of school signposting students who to speak to if they have questions about young carers

We offer a Young Carer an assessment via the EHA, we offer a whole family approach and will explore support options for our young carers and have good contact with our Early Help Hubs.

We have an in school counsellors

We have an emotional wellbeing lead

We have an Inclusion Centre, which our young carers can access 

We have a breakfast club from 7:30am

We offer MEA Extras which includes, art, drama, sports and cooking clubs 

We are committed to working with our feeder schools to ensure good transitions
