This service is for young people who are attending our school.

We will offer a strengths based conversation and offer young carers an assessment via an EHA, we adopt a Whole Family Approach

We are planning young carer drop in sessions

We have had whole school young carer assembly and have started to use a questionnaire to identify our young carers to ensure that they are identified early.

We are also communicating to all parents by sending letters home so that they know they can contact us for support if their child has caring responsibilities.

We will have a designated young carer’s display board and support them to access services

We are keeping a young carers register

We are committed to the young carers in Manchester and are looking to achieve the Carers Trust UK Young Carers in School awards.
