M13 Youth Project (Young Dads City Wide)

We are a community-based voluntary sector project. We specialise in street-based 'detached' youth work with young people and parents who face intersecting challenges, barriers and adverse childhood experiences.
M13 Youth Project works with over 600 young people and young parents each year. We promote fun, learning, action and change for young people, our workers and the Manchester communities in which we live and work.
We work with young people in Ardwick and Hulme and with young dads city-wide. Using the principles and practices of youth work and informal education, supported by trauma-informed practices and interventions, to enable young people to feel safe, reconnect with their worth, develop resilience and resilient networks and to identify and achieve the things in their lives that have value and meaning to them.
M13 aims to foster enjoyment, learning, action and change. To encourage well-being within young people and the communities in which we live. We do this through working together with young people and young parents to create positive and life-enhancing conversations, activities and environments.

- Notes
We don't have a venue of our own, we work out of an office space in Ardwick (M13 0BU). We primarily use the streets to engage and meet with young people. When young people or young parents want to set up some building-based work we hire accessible local buildings such as Brunswick Church Community Centre, Ida Kinsey Village Centre and the CrossRoads Centre from which to deliver activities. Check out our website for up-to-date information about what work we are doing and where.
