MiDAS (Minibus Driver Awareness Scheme) Training and PATS (Passenger Assistant Training)
MiDAS (Minibus Driver Awareness Scheme) A nationally recognised training course for minibus drivers. Designed to enhance minibus driving standards and promote the safer operation of minibuses.
This training is particularly suitable for people and organisations in the voluntary and not-for-profit sectors, as well as for schools, colleges and universities
For the 'Standard MiDAS' drivers, the theory section and theory test for this MiDAS training is now an online format and can be booked by contacting our email address: admin@trainingandskillsdf.org
The actual 1 1/2 hour minibus drive assessment is still done on a 1 to 1 basis in a suitable minibus
If access/wheelchair clamping training is also required, then this part (at present) is still delivered in a classroom format. More information can be given by contacting our email address
PATS - provides a nationally recognised standard of training to people whose role it is to provide care and assistance and support to passengers with mobility difficulties.
