Caribbean and African Health Network (CAHN) Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence Service

Caribean ans African Health Network (CAHN) Domestic Violence and Sexual Violence Support (DVSA) stands as a beacon of hope for African and Caribbean individuals navigating the challenges of domestic abuse.
Our culturally sensitive service provides tailored holistic support, recognising and addressing the unique realities and obstacles faced by our community. By deeply understanding cultural norms, systemic racism, and historical trauma, we create a safe, affirming environment where clients feel genuinely seen and respected.
Our diverse range of services—including counselling, advocacy, practical support and signposting (shelter, MARAC, other specialist services)—are delivered by dedicated staff who prioritise cultural competence and honour each individual's lived experience. By tackling the intersections of race, culture, and abuse, CAHN DVSA empowers individuals to reclaim their strength, heal, and rebuild their lives, all while celebrating and honouring their rich identity and heritage.
As a service, we are committed to providing support to all individuals who present themselves to us as victims, irrespective of their race, ethnicity, gender, or sexual orientation. We strive to create an inclusive environment that ensures every person receives the assistance and respect they deserve.
