Anxiety toolkit for SEND families: Resource from I AM with practical strategies and tools.
Autism Central: Wellbeing webinars for parents/carers, including ‘Am I doing this all wrong?’, ‘Why do I feel so drained?’, as well as other forms of support, like one to ones and group events.
Autism diagnosis resources: Members of Ambitious About Autism’s Youth Network share what it felt like to be diagnosed.
Autism Understood: A website created by Spectrum Gaming in co-production with autistic young people.
AutismWISE: Pure Innovations service for autistic people age 18+ in Manchester. Get help with finding a job, getting talking therapy, joining community activities and being referred to other special support.
Contact's Listening Ear: Contact offers parents/carers one to one confidential phone appointments with a family support adviser.
Easy Read resources: Some easy read online wellbeing resources, including sleep, anxiety and anger.
Educational Psychologists: One Education have a webpage for Manchester parents/carers about the role of an Educational Psychologist, including overview guides and Frequently Asked Questions.
LOOK support: Supporting young visually impaired people and their families to thrive.
Manchester Deaf Centre's Children's and Young People's Service: Support and activities for Deaf, Hard of hearing and Deafblind children and young people, as well as children of deaf adults (CODA) and those who have deaf siblings.
Neurodiverse Connection: Three free online support groups - Late-discovered Meet Up, Autistic Men’s Meet Up, Black Autistic Meet Up.
Respect For All: Counselling and support service for autistic and/or learning disabled people and their families and carers in Greater Manchester.
Suicide Awareness: Free training around autism and suicide with the Zero Suicide Alliance. Also see Mental Health in Autism for a free Autism Adapted Safety Plan.
Wellbeing groups: There are free wellbeing groups in Longsight/Ardwick for young people with SEND to help them learn, play, build new friendships, gain confidence and improve their wellbeing - ages 10-14 and ages 15-25.

42nd Street: Offers support to young people in Manchester around mental wellbeing.
Anxiety UK support: Anxiety UK offers support around anxiety, including a helpline and and live chat.
Bereavement support:
- Carers Manchester can signpost you to a range of organisations if you have recently been bereaved.
- A free audio version of Stephanie Nimmo's ‘Goodbye Daisy’ on You Tube to help children, particularly those with learning disabilities, with their emotions around the death of a loved one.
- Practical guidance and advice on what to do following a loss, like registering the death and arranging the funeral.
- Winston’s Wish offers support to bereaved children.
Be Well: Wherever you are in life, Be Well can help you develop the skills, knowledge and confidence to take control of your life, health and wellbeing. Ask your GP or other professional for a referral.
CALM: The Campaign Against Living Miserably is leading a movement against male suicide.
Carers Manchester: Carers Manchester can signpost you to a range of organisations that can help with your mental health and wellbeing.
Carefree carers breaks: Carefree offer low-cost short breaks in the UK for full-time unpaid carers.
Domestic Abuse: Manchester City Council has information on help and support around domestic abuse. If you need to get off the page quickly for any reason, there’s an exit button which takes you to an unrelated website.
Every Mind Matters: The NHS Every Mind Matters has guidance around low mood and depression, mood-boosters, and helpful suggestions for looking after your mental health.
Gardening On Prescription: Sow the City's gardening scheme - Nature for Health. See this information for how to access the service.
Give Us A Shout: Shout is the UK’s first 24/7 text service, free on all major mobile networks, for anyone in crisis anytime, anywhere. It’s a place to go if you’re struggling to cope and you need immediate help. Text Shout to 85258.
Kooth: Free, safe and anonymous online counselling for young people across Greater Manchester.
Manchester urgent mental health support: Information around crisis support in Greater Manchester.
Manchester Self Help Services: Manchester’s Self Help Services (part of Big Life Group) provide free therapeutic support for anxiety and low mood to the whole of Manchester. You can be referred or self-refer.
Meditation and mindfulness: See this NHS link to mindfulness and relaxation techniques. There is also this information on a breathing exercise for stress.
Mental wellbeing audio-guides: These NHS Mental Wellbeing audio-guides, include low mood and depression, anxiety control training, sleep problems, and unhelpful thinking.
Mind in Manchester: There is various support available from Manchester Mind. See their website.
Mobilise carers support: Mobilise is a free online community set up by carers for carers.
Mums Matter: Support for Manchester mums with a child under two who are struggling with mild to moderate mental health conditions or feeling overwhelmed or lonely.
Papyrus: Papyrus is for young people under the age of 35 who are experiencing thoughts of suicide. It is also for anyone concerned that a young person could be thinking about suicide.
Samaritans: Whatever you’re going through, the Samaritans are there 24 hours a day. Call them free at any time, from any phone on 116 123.
Shining A Light On Suicide: Whether you’re feeling suicidal, worried someone else is, or have lost someone to suicide, you’re not alone. See Greater Manchester's Shining A Light On Suicide for information and support.
SilverCloud: SilverCloud is available for all Greater Manchester residents. This is a free, online therapy programme to help with stress, anxiety, low mood and depression.
Sleep help: Resources are available from Public Health England at Every Mind Matters.
Talking therapies: NHS Manchester Talking Therapies is free for anyone with common mental health problems like anxiety or depression and has a GP in Manchester.
The Mix: A multi-channel support service for young people.
